Space-Saving Storage Elevated Off the Floor
In compact rooms such as bedrooms, narrow entryways, or tight hallways, floor-standing dressers and sideboards can block natural light and restrict movement. Wall mounting provides two clear advantages:
- Unobstructed floor space: Visible flooring beneath the furniture keeps the room feeling open and allows unhindered access for vacuums and mops.
- Focused capacity: A compact footprint encourages intentional organization, preventing surfaces from accumulating unnecessary clutter.

JN19: The Compact Tambour Wall Cabinet
An example of a compact wall-mounted unit is our Wall-Mounted Nightstand JN19. Measuring 36.5 cm high, 32 cm wide, and 34.5 cm deep, it fits into tight corners and narrow bedside clearances.
The JN19 is crafted from solid American walnut with a central brass rod that reinforces the structure. Its front features a sliding tambour door made of slender walnut slats that glide smoothly along internal curved tracks. Because the tambour door moves within the cabinet frame, it opens and closes without requiring outward swing clearance in tight spaces.
While designed frequently as a floating bedside cabinet for a book and a glass of water, the JN19 also functions as a discreet wall-hung bar cabinet or a compact entryway organizer.
Larger Cabinets and Open Wall Shelving
Storage requirements depend on room layout and what needs to be stored. When greater volume or open display is required, different proportions apply:
- Enclosed volume: The Wall-Mounted Cabinet JN18 measures 80 cm high, 97.5 cm wide, and 40 cm deep. It features curved doors built from walnut profiles, a black backing panel, and two solid walnut shelves on each side for larger storage needs.
- Open display: For displaying smaller objects or creating an open landing spot, the Wooden shelf JN10 offers a slim profile with a milled front edge and brass support details.
Concealed French Cleat Mounting
To provide stable weight distribution and a clean appearance without visible external brackets, our wall cabinets mount using a concealed French cleat system. The interlocking beveled cleats hold the cabinet flush against the wall surface.
